When you post a Quick Need, people nearby can bid to fulfill it. Bids compete on price, so you often get offers below your budget. You choose the bid that works best based on price and the bidder's rating.
No! Anyone can sign up and use BidDrop. However, if you're a college student, you can optionally verify your .edu email to unlock campus-exclusive features like campus-only posts and discovery filters.
BidDrop uses Stripe for secure escrow payments. When a transaction begins, payment is held safely until both parties confirm the exchange. Sellers receive earnings directly to their bank account, typically within 1 business day.
You can list items for sale or rent, and post Quick Needs in three categories: Buy, Borrow, and Deliver. Common items include textbooks, electronics, furniture, bikes, and everyday essentials.
List items for sale or rent, or browse Quick Needs and place competitive bids to fulfill requests. When a transaction completes, you get paid directly to your bank account. Earn money on your own schedule.
BidDrop has a dispute resolution process. If something goes wrong, report the issue through the app. Escrow payments aren't released until issues are resolved, protecting both parties.
When creating a listing, snap a photo of your item. Our AI analyzes the image and suggests the title, description, condition, and price. You can accept, edit, or override any suggestion. The whole process takes about 10 seconds.
BidDrop charges a 4% seller-side fee (minimum $0.15) on completed transactions. There are no fees to browse, list items, post requests, or place bids.
